Aluminium Windows Ltd, based in Southampton, appointed Fircks Environmental Consultancy to deliver its Quality Management System (QMS) to the international ISO 9001 standard.
Southampton’s premier manufacturer of high quality windows and doors. They offer a besoke service with speed. 2018 saw a move to a new factory and this was seen as an ideal time to look at processes and workflows afresh. Coupling this with being certificated for ISO 9001 seemed a logical move. Using improvement techniques such as 5S the new facility was soon up to speed and with the assistance of Fircks Consultancy, the certification was soon to follow in recognition of their achievement.
The project was managed almost entirely off-site with guidance given and then progress monitored. This meant the project cost was low and gave the company a significant ROI with new orders arriving directly as a result of the certificate.
